The LDJ Difference

LDJ Productions is a full service event management and production company founded in 1999 by Calvin Klein Executive Laurie DeJong. The company is a single-source resource for design, planning, coordination and execution of any meeting or event type. From concept to execution, LDJ's Services are custom fit to each client's needs. LDJ-managed-projects range from intimate press events to luxury brand product launches to educational and sales national tours to major corporate business conferences. LDJ brings the caché of high-end fashion to corporate America. We Deliver the Experience!

LDJ Productions' point of difference can best be summarized in ten key points:

1. Client satisfaction – it is more than our commitment, it is our mantra.
LDJ proudly boasts 100% client retention. Every first time client has requested LDJ's services again. We recognize that in a service profession, the only acceptable result to our work is a flawless event and a satisfied client.

2. We are always on time, on budget – never any excuses.
LDJ Project Managers work tirelessly to keep projects within the client's specified budget. We find that open communication with clients about feasible costs help to manage expectations to everyone's benefit. LDJ's specialty is providing innovative solutions for maintaining the highest quality possible with the available dollars for each project. We also develop and maintain comprehensive production schedules for each event to ensure that all parties involved understand their responsibilities and timing for deliverables and then manage these schedules closely throughout the event process.

3. Uniform excellence – no project is too large or too small.
While some production and event management companies concentrate more effort on their larger events and clients only, LDJ strives for a uniform effort no matter what the project size. We do this by assigning the same senior staff manager to each size project and providing support personnel as needed to coordinate. Our extensive network of pre-LDJ trained specialty personnel enables us to adjust our event staff easily to any size project.

4. Our philosophy is that all clients, contractors and staff are our partners.
Many years of experience has proven to us that the best way to accomplish a successful event is to treat everyone involved with the utmost respect, as partners. The old adage about the 'weakest link in the chain' is very applicable to the event business. If all persons involved feel that their work is appreciated and their role important, better performance is always the result. This mind set has proven itself time and time again. Trust based relationships are developed between all workers, managers and our clients which encourage honest, respectful dialogue enabling the best performance from all.

5. Always progressive, always cutting edge, always on trend.
LDJ's close relationship to the top echelon of the fashion industry, nationally and internationally - technologically and creatively, connects us to the latest trends, “wow” factor show technology, designers, celebrities and top media editors. We find this great inspiration for our work in other industries and give us timely insight to current market trends.

6. In the often crazy event environment, we bring calm to the storm.
In LDJ's new employee training SOP, we strongly emphasize the importance of remaining calm, collected and focused on getting the job done. Our extensive experience with the direction of high-pressured fashion shows has taught us how to maintain our composure in the most hectic situation with some of the most challenging, creative personalities. We also recognize that this attitude is contagious and have received positive feedback from many clients how our calm, focused behavior has not only instilled confidence in our ability to perform but also showed our confidence in performing the services required.

7. We have an open book accounting policy.

Many companies in our industry hide fees and surcharges. LDJ strongly believes that because our clients are our partners, we are ethically bound to share all costs and fees openly and honestly. We feel that this policy has been instrumental in building concrete relationships with all of our clients. We want our clients to understand that we are a for profit business and charge reasonable fees for the work and services we perform. We find that open discussion about all our fees and charges and how that is calculated builds trust and respect for our work as event producers.

8. An LDJ Principal manages every project, ensuring the highest level of performance and consistency.
Each LDJ Principal has over ten years of experience in the event production and management business. We have built the reputation of our company on a standard set of principles learned and shared from our collective experiences. While we carefully train every member of the LDJ Team, we feel that our high standards are maintained by the close supervision and hands on client contact with each and every project.

9. LDJ is a certified minority and woman owned business, assisting our clients with satisfying partner diversity goals.
LDJ Productions is certified through the Women's Business Enterprise Council as a 100% woman owned business.

10. LDJ has an established network of prominent vendor partners creating an integrated, synergistic production / event management team.
The bedrock of LDJ's strength is our solid and committed relationships with our vendor partners. Many are widely considered to be “best in class” in their respective industries. We constantly source new vendors in varied specialty industries and maintain a large database of technical, logistics and creative professionals to ensure that we can meet any of our client's event needs. Our vendor partners have participated in large scale events worldwide in Fashion, Beauty, Music and Corporate Events.
